Meets

All the meetings and discussions are the first stepping stones that lead to amicable solutions to issues afflicting our society today. We take pride in holding healthy discussions and debates annually.

Conduct of meetings

The following provisions outline the procedures for convening and conducting meetings of the IMCLS bodies, ensuring transparency, accountability, and orderly decision-making in alignment with the organization’s objectives and principles.

I. Convening and Leadership of Meetings

Meetings are convened by the appropriate authority to ensure smooth coordination and participation of members. There is a clear line of succession for presiding over meetings in the absence of senior office bearers. The agenda for each meeting is prepared collaboratively to ensure relevant and inclusive discussions.

II. Conduct, Discipline, and Decision-Making

The Chairperson is responsible for ensuring that all meetings are conducted in an orderly and fair manner. Disorderly conduct is dealt with strictly, and serious misconduct may lead to barring the member from future meetings as well as legal action. All decisions are made democratically through voting, and in case of a tie, the Chairperson has the final casting vote. Voting can be conducted by a show of hands or through a secret ballot, depending on what the meeting decides.

III. Quorum, Records, and Attendance

A minimum quorum is required for decisions made in meetings to be valid and representative. Accurate documentation of meeting proceedings is essential for transparency and accountability, and these records must be shared with members promptly. Members who are absent without prior notice for three consecutive meetings will be automatically removed from their position to maintain active participation.
